in mushroom felix ruckert works on the idea of the group, the tribe: questioning the company as the basic constellation for creating, practicing and teaching dance as well as observing it in a more anthropological way as a group of humans gathering as a herd, that naturally develops its own rules and organization. mushroom is conceptual and archaic, primitive and sophisticated. fifty-five minutes of powerful body language.
for this play i composed a song for each dancers trying to focus on a certain quality that the person would represent in a tribe. The atmosphere of the soundtrack reflects a haunted forest in which the tribe lives, gathers to hunt and worships it's gods. i remixed the songs live and guided the dancers with their music to their solos.
